I watched a program on the TV about a blogger trying to go a week without updating his blog, replying to e-mails, using his mobile phone and simply communicating like we used to before all of this technology was at hand. What has happened to good old fashioned picking the phone and speaking to someone? Half of the people that we communicate with is via e-mail or text and we hardly get round to speaking to people anymore! Back to blogging! Blogs are great for self promotion, information and opinions - but a GOOD blog has to be kept updated with useful information otherwise it can quickly become stale and out of date. I wouldn't say that it is the be all and end of all for any business that doesn't have one but can be an advantage to those that do. Funny that! It's a great way for your customers to know you, as well as scoring lots of longtail searches to your website.
