Advertise Extra Value for Your Readers

What value does your real estate website offer?  Do you have a regularly updated blog?  How about real estate articles with great content?  Real estate calculators?  What else can you provide your readers that may provide them with extra value?  You could post strategic advertising on your site.

Strategic advertising is the keyword.  Readers and visitors of websites do not like a lot of clutter when they are trying to read an article or navigate through the site.  Especially when much of that clutter is advertising.  Pop up ads, animated banners, multiple link lists – all of this can frustrate a website visitor to the point of leaving and never returning.

So how can you advertise on your real estate website without being annoying to the reader, but instead offer advantages?

Google AdSense

The Google AdSense program has become one of the easiest and most non-invasive advertising programs available.  Google’s proprietary link advertising system automatically crawls your web page and returns a set of ad links that are best matched to your content and provides real value to your readers. 

Ad links are just text (no photos) and can be set up in white space or around borders within your real estate website or articles.  Though Google AdSense is a money-making venture, don’t expect to become rich from this type of advertising.

Affiliate programs

You can easily sign up to become an affiliate of almost any other website that offers a valuable product(s).  An affiliate is simply a website who agrees to advertise a product for someone else in exchange for commission if a sale is made through that site. 

For instance, you could post a small strategic banner advertising a real estate financing course offered from another site.  If someone clicks on that banner and eventually signs up for the course, you will receive a percentage of the fee paid by the consumer.

Don’t underestimate the advantages of advertising on your own real estate website.  Just remember the critical rule – Money for you, and value for your visitors.
