Is your real estate website experiencing some nice traffic increases lately? Your link building campaigns and website SEO is paying off? Well, how do you keep your visitors returning to your real estate website instead of them becoming a “hit & run” clicker casualty?
Subscriptions
If you offer great content through articles and blog posts your visitors should want to return. Give them an easy option to do so by presenting an easy “call to action” RSS subscription link on your front page. By subscribing to your real estate website through a feed aggregator, visitors have an easy option to read your updated content and material whenever you post something new. With popular RSS feed readers like Google Reader, your subscribers will always know when you update your real estate website.
Email newsletters
Another good way to retain readers and visitors to your real estate website is to offer a weekly newsletter subscription. In addition to an RSS feed signup, you should also prominently post a way for your readers to sign up for a free email newsletter. There are many free email subscription services available for you to collect an email mailing list.
With an email list you can keep in touch with your members on a weekly basis or so, and write content for a newsletter only available to your email subscribers. You could provide them with exclusive articles, updated real estate listings, and anything else you think would be beneficial to your subscribers.
For your real estate website to succeed you need not only attract readers, but retain them as well. Be sure when your website finally captures a reader’s attention to give them a reason to stay and receive your updates.

Getting leads from real estate web sites is the easy part. Keeping in touch with them until a sale is hard. I agree, newsletters are a great way to keep in touch. Offer something of value to your readers and always have them refer to your website for more information on the subjects of the newsletters.
You are 100% right, Dylan. I give my agents a headache at times, all the hear my say is Follow up Follow up Follow up.
I get lots of leads from my website, yes keeping them is the issue. As of late I have been doing a better job of that thankfully.
Nice little blog post.
I hit my leads with the triple play. Drip Emails, Phone Calls, and a news letter. I still loss alot through the cracks but I am 100% improved over my past proformance. I would say the #1 thing you can do is give people a call. Have something helpful to offer them and don’t be to pushy.
