I never thought of using facebook as a way to attract customers and potential clients.
I’ll try and create an account now for our properties. It could be useful in attracting younger clients who are online everyday.

I use facebook for about 1 hour a day. Not my personal page but my actual business page. It is connected to my blog, my twitter, youtube, etc. its a great way to have a non branded business page for my niche area and I invite my friends who are interested in what I have to say about my trade and I also get random likes from time to time. This way I’m not pushing my business on my personal page but to those who actually want to hear from me. Last year I sold 2 homes because of my page, and I know i’m not even using it to the fullest. In my industry, the average home buyer is 31 and you know they are looking for information on the internet….it’s our job to be there when they search.

I am a fairly new RE agent, and I agree, you can get sucked in if you do not limit your time on the site, but I just converted a client that I just happened to notice was complaining about her home search. A few weeks later, here we are, looking to close by mid-March!
