How to Avoid Customer Contact

We like to surf the web daily and when we find a real estate website that we do not understand or have a question about, we like to find the customer contact. However, lately we have noticed that it is difficult to find the customer contact button and in many cases, we believe the website is actually discouraging their clients from contacting them through e-mail or phone. Then again, maybe the company is just too busy or maybe they do not like answering the phone calls and they do not have time to deal with all of the interruptions that their clients would be causing. Whatever your reason is, if you do not want to have contact with your Web visitors and you want to avoid them as much as you can, then we have put together a checklist you can go by in order to avoid those visitors. Please see below in order to figure out how to avoid the questions your customers have.

  • If you want to avoid your customers, then you should not include a phone number in your header of the site. Also, if you have your phone number on the website, then you should not use high volume font that makes it stand out. If you have your phone number hidden, this is going to get rid of your intrusions right away.
  • Don’t include text that invites individuals to contact you. You shouldn’t use phrases that have calls to action. This includes “feel free to e-mail us, ““call us right away,” “if you have questions, we’re here.” If you use words like this, then you will be encouraging people to call you right away. They will want to talk to you about your services and products.
  • Many of the websites will have a graphic that signifies the “call to action.” You should not include this on your website if you do not want to be bothered by e-mails or telephone calls. Many websites put an actual contact form on their website. The contact form makes it easier to contact you, so it is obvious that you should avoid these.
  • Avoid phone calls right away and don’t put any phone number on your contact page. Instead of putting a phone number on you contact page, you could just list a form. This form will make it clear to clients that you do not want to take phone calls. Most of the customers will stop at the web forum and leave you a message, unless they are mad about something.
  • Also, if you want to avoid snail mail and individuals who just angrily walk into you business, then you may want to avoid putting your physical address.
  • Don’t include your e-mail address on your contact page. All you need on your contact page would be a web form. If you do not have any e-mail address visibly showing, then you will not be contacted by e-mail. If you have a form on your website, then you should make sure that information is not collecting into your database.
  • Whenever individuals cannot find your contact information, they look at the footer of your webpage. If you do not want individuals to contact you, then you should not put your contact information in the footer of your webpage. This will discourage users from digging deeper to find your contact information.
  • Most web pages have a site map and that is where individuals go if they are not able to find that contact information. If you want to stay hidden, then don’t include your contact information on the site map. The site map is designed to make the web page easy to use and is where they turn in order to find your information.
  • If you do not put contact us graphics on your website, then don’t even spell those words out. Spelling the words “contact us” out, even if they are not visible will make it easy to find you. Whenever someone cannot find your contact information they can easily push CTRL + ALT + F and type in “contact.”
  • These days, as we are surfing the Internet, we are finding that tons of the pages do not even have a contact page. Having no contact page is a great way to ruin all users who want to contact you.
  • If you really want to hide, then come up with the extra couple of dollars so that you can remain anonymous. If you do not get registered as anonymous, then it will be easy to figure out your contact information.

If you have a printer, then you can easily print these tips above so that you can use them when you are working on your own website, espically if your one of my competitors. Make sure you are doing everything you possibly can in order to hide from all of your customers.

Why would someone want to hide from visitors? I have no idea, I don’t recommend it :)

Yep, sure agree with you on that one! What’s even worse is enquiring about properties that you are really interested in and no one ever replies back! Would love to have the amount of business these companies are getting if they don’t even have to reply back to enquiries if they don’t want to! Also with all the property portals that are popping up all over the place now, they do not want the estate agents to have contact numbers, e-mail adresses or websites in the adverts so they do not navigate away from their portal and so you know that the e-mailed enquiry came directly from their site, but not useful for us or the potential customer.

We get that with other agents that we share properties with, no replying to us that we have a client potentially interested in their property! Great, how are we supposed to sell if no one replies back to you!
