Good article, I agree in most of the thing. Its so important to do it correct. I do a basic On-page Optimization on everyone of a new page before I put in my site. I have 7 things that I control:
Title; the keywords must be in the title.
H1 –H2 – H3; the keywords must be in here also.
Text relevance; the keywords must be in the text.
Text volume of the page; Must be more them 500 words.
Source code; Minimum 25% of the source code is the text must be to read by visitors.
Meta description.
Meta Keywords.

Yes, SEO can be costly however, IMHO its by far the best ROI you can receive in regards to marketing.

I found that a very SEO friendly website design is WordPress. I agree with all of your points here. SEO takes a LOT of time and people that don’t have time to do it themselves or have the knowledge, have to pay SEO specialists, which I must say is expensive, but worth it.

Great advice, I am currently employing all of it, though in some cases it may be a little clumsy.
