I hear 3-4 of those myths every day at the office. I find the hard thing is to find the right blend of writing for the audience and writing for the search engines. If I talk for 4 pages about suburban kansas city real estate, but I am number 500 on google for kansas city real estate, no one will ever read my stuff. I find writing for the hyper-local, subdivision level is easier. The big name subdivisions, such as LionsGate in Overland Park have some competition, but smaller ones, like Arlington Park in Olathe may only have 2-3 people who have ever written anything picked up by a search engine.
