social media: A category of sites that is based on user participation and user-generated content. They include social networking sites like LinkedIn or Facebook, social bookmarking sites like Del.icio.us, social news sites like Digg or Reddit, and other sites that are centered on user interaction.

Social Media sites can assist you in attracting visitors to your real estate website and can also be a great branding tool for you or your brokerage. Social sites are also an excellent way to obtain one-way-links, traffic and attract attention to your websites content.

  1. Do basically when you signup, you just add a link back to your site and the engines will count it as a link. Is that correct?

  2. Yes, as long as the page gets cached you’ll be receiving a free one way link. :)
